Cougar Grid

Name a Cougar who fits both categories. Football, 2005–present.

Guesses left: 9 Hint tokens: 4 Correct: 0/9

How to play

  1. Fill the 3×3 grid. Tap a square and name a BYU football player from the years shown under the title who fits both the row and the column.
  2. You get 9 guesses. A wrong guess uses one up. A player can only be used once per board.
  3. Not sure what a category means? Hover over (or tap) a header that has a help cursor for a short explanation.
  4. Hints. Hints cost tokens, and you choose which to buy. In a square you can get the positions the valid players held (1 token), the years they played (1 token), or the initials of the easiest answer (3 tokens). You get 4 tokens per board.
  5. Immaculate. All 9 squares without spending any hint tokens. Your result always shows how many tokens you used.
  6. Modes. Daily is the same board for everyone each day. New random board gives you as many as you like and has a shareable link. Normal covers 2005 to now, and Hard is 1980 to 2004, so you'll need to know the older Cougars. Hometown squares only appear in Hard.

Your stats

A daily streak counts every day you finish that mode's daily board, even if you miss squares or give up. Skip a day and that mode's streak starts over. Random boards count toward boards finished and perfect boards, not streaks. Stats are kept only on this device.

What's new

The hometown and new-square changes start with Daily #6 (October 26); boards you've already seen are unchanged.
